Hey guys, thread for newer guys and gals:
If you're looking into comms, a good radio is the best start.
Our club members run mainly two options of radio, the Puxing 777 or 888
We have standard setup including two settings:
TOT: 60 Seconds
This will cut transmitting after 60 seconds, helpful if mic is stuck on.
ROGER: ON
Makes a noise after end transmission to let others know you've finished talking.
Guide to turn on settings: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=128892
Contact Jaybee or Torak to get your radio programmed, either PX-888 or PX-777
---------------
1: Puxing PX-777 UU 465-520Mhz (http://www.409shop.com/409shop_product.php?id=101761)
(Single Band)
NB PLEASE ENSURE THE FREQUENCY RANGE IS 465-520mhz

I've had my Puxing PX-777 for a couple of years now and it hasn't missed a beat, a great deal at around $80.00 NZD landed
---------------
2: PX-888 two way radio UHF 400-480Mhz (dual band, more features) (http://www.409shop.com/409shop_product.php?id=104130)

Both options use the Kenwood pin for accessories like push to talk and headset eg:
Element U94 PTT Military Standard Plug Version (http://www.ebairsoft.com/element-military-standard-plug-version-p-2593.html)
with
ZTactical Z029 BW Evo III Headset ( BK ) (http://www.ebairsoft.com/ztactical-z029-headset-p-5273.html)
I'd love to see more comms in the club, it enhances effectiveness of squads and makes for alot of fun.

Agreed Jaybee. Have just got my programed. :P
Just a quick question though, with the G Element U94 PTT Military Standard Plug Version, which model will work with the radio? There are 6 options but none of them are the for the Puxing.
Preacher.

Awesome Preacher and yep if you're looking for accessories for your Puxing always look for Kenwood pin e.g.

The Push To Talk (PTT) plugs into the radio so you have a nice big button on your rig to activate the radio, then whatever headset you choose to suit the ptt provides the headphone/microphone. Make sure the headset has the right plug to fit into the PTT, usually called 'Military Standard Plug'
There are some options that are all in one like the Police style comms, I have one of those for Russian kit.
Cheers,
JB

My suggestion for a radio is this:

I can program it for you in seconds from my computer.
